KINGS OF MACEDON. Philip II, 359-336 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 26 mm, 13.99 g, 9 h), Amphipolis, Struck under Kassander, circa 307-297. Laureate head of Zeus to right. Rev. ΦΙΛΙΠΠΟΥ Young jockey, holding palm frond in his right hand and reins in his left, riding horse to right; below horse, Λ and torch; to right, kantharos. Le Rider pl. 47, 27. SNG ANS 801-3. Harshly cleaned and slightly rough. Good very fine.
