Crispina, Augusta, 178-182. Denarius (Silver, 18 mm, 3.35 g, 6 h), Rome. CRISPINA AVGVSTA Draped bust of Crispina to right. Rev. VENVS Venus standing front, head to left, holding apple in her right hand and drawing up fold of drapery with her left. BMC 44. Cohen 35. RIC 286a. A beautifully toned example with a lovely portrait. Struck from a worn reverse die, otherwise, about extremely fine.
