Gordian III, 238-244. Antoninianus (Silver, 22 mm, 5.13 g, 1 h), Rome, 243. IMP GORDIANVS PIVS FEL AVG Radiate, draped and cuirassed bust of Gordian III to right, seen from behind. Rev. P M TR P VI COS II P P Apollo seated left, holding branch in his right hand and leaning left on lyre. Cohen 272. Michaux 380. RIC 90. Nicely toned and very well centered. The reverse a bit weak, otherwise, extremely fine.
