Gordian III, 238-244. Antoninianus (Silver, 22 mm, 4.47 g, 12 h), Rome, 243. IMP GORDIANVS PIVS FEL AVG Radiate, draped and cuirassed bust of Gordian III to right, seen from behind. Rev. VICTORIA AETERNA Victory standing front, head to left, holding palm frond in her left hand and placing her right on shield set on ground; at feet to left, captive seated left in attitude of mourning. Cohen 353. Michaux 412. RIC 156. Very light deposits and the reverse a bit weak, otherwise, extremely fine.
