ROMAN EMPIRE. Gordian III. 238-244 AD. AR Antoninianus (4.50 gm; 25 mm). Struck in Rome, 240-43 AD. IMP GORDIANVS PIVS FEL AVG, Radiate, draped and cuirassed bust to right. Rev.: LAETITIA AVG N, Laetitia standing to left with wreath and anchor. RIC IV 86; RSC 121. Lovely strike on a nice broad merdallic flan. Choice AU. Lightly toned.
