Pair of two San Jose, Costa Rica, Banco Central, 100 colones, 5-10-1990, series F, serial F18110235, duplicated serial numbers error, PCGS Choice UNC 64 and Choice UNC 64. SCWPM-254a. At first glance, these two error notes appear to be nearly identical to a duplicated serial number pairing - a pairing that should not exist - we sold in November of 2021. However, in another twist, one of these two notes bears the Series F letter in two positions while the other does not! It is curious how both notes have identical serial numbers yet the series letter was printed on one and not the other. The rest of the two notes appear nearly identical, down to similar ink smears in opposite corners. Pedigreed to the Tamarindo Collection of Costa Rican Error Paper Money.
