Panama, Banco Central de Emision, 1 balboa, series of 1941, serial 035082, "Arias" "Seven Day" note, PMG VF 25. SCWPM-22a. Popular "Arias Issue" or "Seven Day" note that only circulated for a week from Oct. 2 to Oct. 9, 1941. These notes are named for President Arnulfo Arias, who supported their issuance yet was deposed via coup shortly thereafter, leading to widespread withdrawing and destruction of the type. A quality, circulated yet problem-free survivor with bold original ink colors throughout and nicely centered design with sharp edges.
