Charles I from Spain and V from the Holy Roman Germanic Empire, called "the Caesar" reigned, alongside with his mother, Joanna of Castile (only by name until 1555, year of her death), in all the kingdoms and hispanic territories with the name of Charles I from 1516 to 1556, gathering for the first time in one person the Crowns of Castile, Navarre and Aragon. And emperor of the Holy Roman Germanic Empire, as Charles V, from 1520 to 1558. In Antwerp, with an uncertain date, is minted this extremely rare Spanish quarter of real, which shows in one of the sides the K from Karolus and in the other side the I from Ioanna, both initials crowned and as a mark from the mint, the hand of Antwerp in both sides. The inscriptions say: IOANA x ET x KAROL x D x G and CAST x LEG x ARAG x Z C, respectively. Choice VF. Est...2500,00.

Carlos I de España y V del Sacro Imperio Romano Germánico, llamado «el César» reinó, junto con su madre, Juana I de Castilla (ésta de forma solo nominal y hasta 1555, año de su fallecimiento), en todos los reinos y territorios hispánicos con el nombre de Carlos I desde 1516 hasta 1556, reuniendo así por primera vez en una misma persona las Coronas de Castilla, Navarra y Aragón. Y emperador del Sacro Imperio Romano Germánico, como Carlos V, de 1520 a 1558. En Amberes, con fecha incierta, se acuña este rarísimo Cuarto de Real que presenta en una de las caras la K de Karolus y en la otra cara la I de Ioana, ambas iniciales coronadas y como marca de ceca la mano de Amberes en ambas caras.
