MS61 | Henry VIII (1509-1547), silver Groat, third coinage (1544-47), Tower Mint, initial mark on both sides, crowned bust in ruff facing three-quarters right, second bust, Latin legend and beaded borders surrounding both sides, Lombardic lettering, hEnRIC'x 8x D'x AGL'x FRA'x Zx hIB'x REX, rev. long cross fourchee over quartered shield of arms, annulet in each fork, beaded circles and legend surrounding, +POSVI DEV'x' A DIVTOR E'x' mEV, 2.61g (N. 1844; S.2369). Slightly double-struck, sharply detailed with light residual lustre, excellent surfaces, graded by NGC as MS61, the highest grade level for this popular type at either PCGS or NGC.
