Germany, Free City of Frankfurt, silver Vereinsthaler, 1860, allegorical laureated bust of female right, inscription FREIE STADT FRANKFURT, rev. crowned imperial eagle with wing spread centre, German inscription reads EIN VEREINSTHALER XXX EIN PFUND FEIN, date below (KM 360; AKS 8; Thun 142; Jäg 6; FHI 41); together with Freiburg, City, billon 5 Kreuzer, 1734 (Berstett - (vgl. 286) Schön 34). The first cleaned with some surface marks, both coins very fine. (2)

The German inscription of the 1 Vereinsthaler translates as "The Free City of Frankfurt", and on the reverse as "One Union Thaler, One Pound Fine".
