Charles II (1660-1685), Crown, 1665 XVII, second laureate and draped bust right, 'crooked' ties, rev. crowned shields cruciform, eight strings to harp, lettered edge upwards, 29.41g, 6h (Pywell-Phillips 9; Bull 365 [R3]; ESC 31; Spink 3355), rubbed with multiple historic surface marks and scratches, otherwise naturally toned, strictly good to fair, but a very rare date, struck during the year of the 'Great Plague'.
