Charles II (1660-1685), Shilling, 1668, 'Large 66', second laureate and draped bust right, rev. crowned shields cruciform, six strings to harp, edge straight milled, 5.77g, 6h (Bull 514; ESC 1030; Spink 3375) rubbed and flecked, lightly toned, fair / about fine.
A new variety, listed by Bull and now noted in the Standard Catalogue, but presently without sufficient data to indicate true rarity. A point evidenced by the presence of a second lesser specimen in the next lot
