Charles II (1660-1685), Shilling, 1675 over 3, third laureate and draped bust right, rev. no stop after HIB, E over R in ET, E repunched in REX, crowned shields cruciform, five strings to harp, edge obliquely milled, 6.00g, 6h (Pywell-Phillips -; Bull 531 [R3]; ESC 1043A; Spink 3380) patchy and perhaps unnatural tone, with traces of flecking, nearly very fine, a wholesome example of this very rare variety.
