William and Mary (1688-1694), First Issue, Halfcrowns (7), 1689 PRIMO (6), First Shield (4), conjoined laureate and draped busts right, rev. caul and interior frosted with pearls, lettered edge downwards (Bull 826; ESC 503); another, similar, second L over M in GVLIELMVS, lettered edge upwards (Bull 827; ESC 503A); another, similar, T over misplaced T in GRATIA, rev. caul only frosted, with pearls, lettered edge upwards (Bull 832; ESC 505A); another, as first, first V over A in GVLIELMVS, rev. inverted N in REGINA, lettered edge downwards (Bull 833/832; ESC 505B/-; Spink 3434); also, Second Revised Shield (2), as before, rev. caul and interior frosted, with pearls, lettered edge downwards (Bull 837; ESC 508); lastly, rev. no frosting, no pearls, lettered edge downwards (Bull 846; ESC 512); additionally, 1690 TERTIO (Bull 849 [R2]; ESC 515; Spink 3435), variable states, all rubbed, some graffiti'd, the last smoothed and with solder damage from a mount in reverse field, otherwise an interesting academic group with some key series varieties (7).
