William III (1694-1702), Great Recoinage, Norwich, Halfcrown, 1696 N OCTAVO, first laureate, draped and cuirassed bust right, normal N below, rev. no stops after MAG and HIB, intermediate crowned shields cruciform, small late harp with eight strings, nine billets, lettered edge downwards, 14.65g, 6h (Bull 1084 [R5]; ESC 538A [R4]; Spink 3479), darkly toned, fair to almost fine, extremely rare.
