William III (1694-1702), Great Recoinage, Chester, Sixpence, 1696 C, first laureate, draped and cuirassed bust right, rev. oversized As, large crowned shields cruciform, early harp with three strings, nine billets, obliquely milled edge, 2.78g, 6h (Viles 3796a; Bull 1268; ESC 1536; Spink 3522), lightly toned, a highly pleasing very fine, scarce, especially in this condition.
