London die, stop after MAG, FR and HIB, crowned 'narrow' shields cruciform, angles plain, five strings to harp, edge obliquely milled, 5.68g, 7h, rubbed flat, lightly toned, with die break through E of DEI, about good; another, from the same dies as last, rev. five strings, 5.75g, 6h (Bull 1421; PHF/ESC 1140i; Spink 3609), rubbed flat, about good, both scarce; also, slanting date, tall Edinburgh lettering, rev. local Edinburgh die, no stop after MAG, FR or HIB, 'narrow' shields, crescent-shaped harp with five strings, 5.72g, 6h (Bull 1425 [R2]; PHF/ESC 1140iv; S.3609A), worn flat, toned, only about good, but a rare variety (3).
