George I (1714-1727), 'Roses and Plumes' Crown, 1726 DECIMO TERTIO, laureate, draped and cuirassed bust right, rev. crowned shields cruciform, small roses and plumes in angles, nine strings to harp, inverted Ns in TUTAMEN ANNO REGNI lettered upwards on edge, 30.01g, 6h (Pywell-Phillips 260; Bull 1548 [R2]; ESC 115; Spink 3639A), lightly wiped and with a hint of adjustment on portrait, otherwise residually lustrous with handsome orange-blue iridescence in recesses, the reverse enveloped in colourful tone, a bolder very fine, scarce.
