George I (1714-1727), 'Roses and Plumes' Shilling, 1718, first laureate, draped and cuirassed bust right, rev. crowned shields cruciform, roses and plumes in angles, seven strings to harp, edge obliquely milled, 5.81g, 6h (Bull 1566; ESC 1165; Spink 3645), faint adjustment marks and flecking behind the bust, otherwise lustrous and rather choice with fiery red tone around date, extremely fine for issue, a splendid shilling.
