George II (1727-1760), 'Roses' Crown, 1743 DECIMO SEPTIMO, old laureate, draped and cuirassed bust left, rev. crowned shields cruciform, roses in angles, ten strings to harp, six hearts, large lettered edge upwards, 29.96g, 6h (Pywell-Phillips 312; Bull 1667; ESC 124; Spink 3688), cleaned and now darkly retoned, rubbed otherwise very fine or better.
