Rev. floriated cross, crowned leopards in angles.Van Gelder, JMP 52/53 (1965/1966), 61a; cf. S. 1799; N. 1414; Fr. 112 (25).Due to the coarser style and irregular legends (FRAN for FRANC, HY for HYB, IhE for IhC and ILLOR for ILLORV) Van Gelder has chosen to consider these Nobles of Henry VI continental imitations. From hoard evidence he has dated these pieces to ca. 1585-1600.
