BRUTTIUM, Kroton. Circa 500-480 BC. AR Third Nomos – Drachm (17mm, 1.68 g, 12h). Medium incuse type. Tripod, legs surmounted by wreaths and terminating in lion's feet, two serpents rising from the bowl; crab to right / Incuse tripod as obverse, but wreaths in relief and no serpents; Δ to left. HN Italy 2086; SNG ANS 300 (same dies). Toned, crystallized, broken flan, with some edge loss. Near EF. Rare.
