Explanation from David Hendin, by e-mail, March 2022: "Over the years I have seen four or five of these, each a bit different but all in the shape of a fish. They were almost certainly struck by the successors of Alexander Jannaeus after his death in 76 BCE but before c. 40 BCE, during the turmoil that built up to Pompey invading and making Judaea a Roman area in 63 BCE"..
