Obv: TIBE / PIAC (unclear) within wreath. Rx: [HPWΔOY - TETPAPXOY] Reed upright, [L - KΔ] across field. All the coins of Herod Antipas are extremely rare. According to Hendin, Herod Antipas is consistently referred to as "Herod" in the Gospels, as on the coins. In Mark 6:22-25 it says, "And when the daughter of the said Herodias came in and danced, and pleased Herod...the king said unto the damsel, ask me whatever thou wilt...And she came in...and asked saying, I will that thou give me by and by on a charger the head of John the Baptist".This is a very rare issue of a historically relevant individual.
