Aes Premonetale. Aes Formatum. A fragment of a large cake-shaped bronze ingot. Central Italy, 6th-4th century BC. Cf. Garrucci, TAV III, 4 and 5, from the Cere hoard (of about the same shape). AE. 306.00 g. R. mm. 79 x 62 x 22. A rare and choice example. Lovely untouched earthen olive-green patina, with lighter spots.
