L. Antestius Gragulus. AR Denarius, 136 BC. Obv. Helmeted head of Roma right; below chin, barred X; behind, GRAG. Rev. Jupiter in fast quadriga right, hurling thunderbolt and holding sceptre; below horses, L. ANTES. In exergue, ROMA. Cr. 238/1; B. 9. AR. 3.94 g. 20.00 mm. Sound metal and full weight. A superb example, well centred on a broad flan, lightly toned with underlying luster and iridescent hues. Good EF/EF.
