C. Fundanius. AR Denarius, 101 BC. Obv. Helmeted head of Roma right; behind, control letter. Rev. Male figure (Marius?) in walking quadriga right, youth on nearest horse; above, Q; in exergue, C. FVNDAN. Cr. 326/1; B. 1. AR. 3.77 g. 18.50 mm. Brilliant and lightly toned, with golden hues. Good VF. The reverse probably refers to the expedition of Marius against the Cimbri and the Teutones.
