Phrygia, Docimeium. Geta. As Caesar, A.D. 198-209. AE 27 (26.7 mm, 7.12 g, 1 h). Π ЄΠ ΓЄΤΑ ΚΑΙ ΑΡ, bare-headed, draped and cuirassed bust of Geta right / ΜΑΚЄΔΟΝΩΝ, hexastyle temple, ΔΟΚΙΜЄΩΝ below. Unpublished in standard references; cf. Price and Trell 375. VF, Beautiful temple on reverse, nice patina. Extremely Rare.

Two other temple coins of Geta from Docimeum have sold in the past couple of years but the buildings are markedly different (and in lower grade ) in style. There have been no other sales or listings, though there is one other coin in the Boston MFA that shares an obverse die with this coin
