A choice Persian bronze cosmetic jar, ca. 1000 - 600 B.C. , standing on three feet that are in the form of Persian round-tipped shoes, the body adorned with horizontal ridges, two holes near the rim for attaching a lid or stopper. The jar is constructed to lean slightly to one side for easy access with a finger or applicator. H: 2 ? in. (6.3 cm). nicely patinated. Ex Los Angeles private collection. Est. Value: $200 - $300.
