Anne (1702-1714), Post-Union, 'Roses and Plumes' Shilling, 1710, fourth draped bust left, rev. four crowned shields cruciform, roses and plumes in angles, six strings to harp, obliquely milled edge, 5.96g, 6h (Bull 1405 [R2]; ESC 1156; Spink 3617), unsightly flawing on cheek, otherwise honestly toned, a really bold fine, the scarcer of he two bust varieties encountered for this year.
