George I (1714-1727), 'South Sea Company' Shilling, 1723, second laureate, draped and cuirassed bust right, rev. shields cruciform, SSC in angles, six strings to harp, obliquely milled edge, 5.94g, 5h (Bull 1591 six strings not noted; ESC 1178; Spink 3648), cleaned with resultant hairlines, now lightly retoned and residually lustrous a bolder very fine, a scarce bust variety in higher grades.
