George II (1727-1760), 'Roses and Plumes' Shilling, 1727, young laureate, draped and cuirassed bust left, rev. four crowned shields cruciform, roses and plumes in angles, seven strings to harp, obliquely milled edge, 6.08g, 6h (Pywell-Phillips 329; Bull 1695; ESC 1190; Spink 3698), small flaw behind head, otherwise nicely cabinet toned overlying lustrous original surfaces, good very fine, a pleasing example.
