George II (1727-1760), 'Plumes' Shilling, 1731, young laureate, draped and cuirassed bust left, the G of GRATIA repositioned [as always?], rev. four crowned shields cruciform, plumes in angles, nine strings to harp, obliquely milled edge, 6.02g, 6h (Bull 1702 [R2]; ESC 1195; Spink 3697), lightly cleaned and retoned, otherwise an imposing very fine, very rare.
