George II (1727-1760), 'Roses and Plumes' Shilling, 1734, young laureate, draped and cuirassed bust left, rev. four crowned shields cruciform, roses and plumes in angles, nine strings to harp, obliquely milled edge, 5.95g, 5h (Pywell-Phillips 334; Bull 1706; ESC 1197; Spink 3700), flecked, heavily so under the Irish harp, otherwise toned, almost very fine.
