George II (1727-1760), 'Roses and Plumes' Shilling, 1735, young laureate, draped and cuirassed bust left, rev. four crowned shields cruciform, roses and plumes in angles, eight strings to harp, obliquely milled edge, 6.01g, 6h (Bull 1707; ESC 1198; Spink 3700), superficial friction and brightness to obverse fields, otherwise residually lustrous with traces of tone, with faint scattered marks otherwise a bolder very fine.
