George II (1727-1760), 'Roses and Plumes' Shilling, 1736 over 5, young laureate, draped and cuirassed bust left, rev. four crowned shields cruciform, roses and plumes in angles, nine strings to harp, obliquely milled edge, 5.99g, 6h (Bull 1710 [R2]; ESC 1199A; Spink 3700), polished and bright, otherwise a bolder very fine, the overdate rare.
Bull 1710 gives 10? strings to harp. Here the strings are clear and one has split giving nine at the body of the harp and the impression of ten at the neck.
