Lion atop crown, edge milled, 5.67g, 11h (Bull 3591 [R2]; ESC 1414; Spink 3982), lightly wiped with speckled purplish-orange retoning, otherwise residually lustrous, an unusually strong strike for issue, a pleasing very fine, the reverse better, the fabled key date of series, rare thus.
