George II (1727-1760), 'Roses and Plumes' Sixpence, 1735, the 5 re-entered, young laureate, draped and cuirassed bust left, rev. crowned cruciform shields, roses and plumes in angles, obliquely milled edge, 3.00g, 6h (Pywell-Phillips 355; Bull 1745; ESC 1610 [R2]; Spink 3707), lightly cleaned in obverse field and residually lustrous, traces of orangey-purple tone to reverse surfaces, a bolder very fine, a scarce date in series.
