George II (1727-1760), 'Roses and Plumes' Sixpence, 1736, broken S in GEORGIVS, young laureate, draped and cuirassed bust left, rev. crowned cruciform shields, seven strings to harp, roses and plumes in angles, obliquely milled edge, 2.99g, 6h (Pywell-Phillips 356; Viles 3821; Bull 1747 [cf. 1748 - R4]; ESC 1611; Spink 3707), small flan splits to edge, otherwise toned, almost very fine, supposedly rare according to Bull.
