George II (1727-1760), 'Roses' Sixpence, 1739, O over R in GEORGIVS, and D in DEI re-entered, young laureate, draped and cuirassed bust left, rev. crowned cruciform shields, roses in angles, obliquely milled edge, 2.98g, 7h (Bull 1750; ESC 1612A [R3]; Spink 3709), light flecking across face, otherwise lightly toned and lustrous, almost extremely fine, the die-sinker's error beautifully clear, rare thus.
