George III (1760-1820), Pattern Sixpence, 1787, by Lewis Pingo, laureate, draped and cuirassed bust right, rev. crowned shields cruciform, semée of hearts, six strings to harp, edge plain, 3.28g, 12h (Bull 2212; ESC 1640; cf. Spink 3748), scattering of dark deposits on obverse, otherwise brilliant, with a trace of attractive cabinet tone, good extremely fine, one of only 168 struck.
