Charles II (1660-1685), Shilling, 1679, second laureate and draped bust right, rev. four crowned shields cruciform, six strings to harp, obliquely milled edge, 6.08g, 6h (Bull 545; ESC 1054; Spink 3375), heavily scratched and smoothing above bust, bright from past cleaning, otherwise a superior portrait, struck details a really bold very fine.
