Charles II (1660-1685), Shilling, 1679 over 7, second laureate and draped bust right, rev. four crowned shields cruciform, five strings to harp, obliquely milled edge, 6.02g, 6h (Bull 546 [R2]; ESC 1055; Spink 3375), rubbed and haymarked, the surfaces prepared for gilding, the overdate nevertheless clear, only good to fair, but very rare.
