Great Britain 5.10.1926 P-320a PMG Gem UNC 65 EPQ 5 Pounds
Mahon signature, London issue. An earlier date for the popular White Fiver type from Great Britain, arguably the longest running banknote design ever issued, offered here in Gem Uncirculated condition with a late 1926 date. Thanks to the large format and thin paper this type was inevitably folded upon issuance, and finding a survivor at this grade level is very remarkable. The first uncirculated example of this signature we have offered, and destined for an advanced collection of banknotes from the British Isles.
