Qatar ND (1973) P-5a PMG Gem UNC 65 EPQ 100 Riyals
From the first series of Qatar, this is the difficult 100 Riyals, in Gem Uncirculated condition. When we sold an advanced Middle Eastern collection back in April, this type was represented by an Extremely Fine graded example, and that brought almost $5,000. This is the only Gem Uncirculated example of this note we have handled to date, and it deserves its grade without question. Bright colors, full embossing and no signs of handling are seen, and the note is fully original. As a survey of publicly available auction records show this note very rarely becomes available in this grade. We expect spirited bidding on this rarity.
