Note: Kadapa is a district place in the modern state of Andhra Pradesh having great historical importance since the Mauryan period. After the fall of Qutbshahi Sultanate in 1687 by Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb substantial part of South India fell into Mughal hands. The town Kadapa played a very important role during the Mughal administration and military campaigns of South India. The coins struck here by Aurangzeb are thus having very important historical value.
