Henry VIII (1509-1547), First Coinage, Halfgroat, 1509-1526, Tower, crowned bust right, rev. square-topped shield over long cross fourchée, 1.13g, 8h, m.m. crowned portcullis (North 1763; Spink 2318), struck soft at peripheries, otherwise toned on a full flan, a pleasingly bold very fine, scarce.
