Elizabeth I (1558-1603), Mestrelle's Milled Issue, Sixpence, 1562, Tower (Upper House), tall narrow crowned bust left, wearing decorated bodice, rose behind, rev. square-topped shield over cross fourchée, 3.08g, 7h, m.m. star (North 2026; Spink 2595), tooled in fields in antiquity otherwise darkly toned, struck details a bolder very fine.
