St. George and Dragon, small B., large re-entered P, edge milled, 28.26g, 12h (L&S 74; ESC 297; Bull 2586; Spink 3921), a lovely duskily toned example with subtle underlying brilliance across 'gunmetal' surfaces, superficial scuffs before chin, otherwise a really handsome and good extremely fine, especially sought after in the modern market place, a mesmerising Victorian talisman.
