EASTERN EUROPE, Imitations of Philip II of Macedon. Early 3rd century BC. AR Tetradrachm (24.5mm, 13.79 g, 7h). 'Siegesreiter" type; an early imitation of Philip II, copying an issue of Amphipolis. Stylized laureate head of Zeus right / Nude youth on horseback right, holding rein; Λ over race torch below, monogram to right. OTA 14.6; Flesche 639 (this coin); Lanz 351; cf. CCCBM I 1-5 (various symbols). Old cabinet tone, very minor granularity. Good VF.
